The Insurance Institute of Cork Annual Dinner

On Friday, January 23rd, the Annual Dinner of the Insurance Institute of Cork (IIC) took place at the Silver Springs Hotel, marking a highly anticipated event in the Cork social scene. The dinner served as a platform for IIC Members and prominent industry figures to gather and celebrate the accomplishments of the Cork insurance community over the past year. The Midnight Rambles provided the musical entertainment, keeping guests captivated until the early hours of the morning, resulting in an unforgettable night for all who attended.

The festivities commenced with an opening address by IIC President, Brian O’Dwyer, who provided insight into the institute's strategic plan for the upcoming year. Additionally, the 420 guests were treated to a captivating speech by David Walsh, Chief Sports Writer at The Sunday Times, who was the keynote speaker for the evening. David shared his extensive journalistic background and his unrelenting pursuit of truth in his work, highlighting his exposure of Lance Armstrong's drug use in cycling. Following the address, David engaged with the audience in a Q&A session, which was met with an enthusiastic standing ovation from the audience.
