Irish Medical Organisation 2023

AVC was thrilled to be back at the Hotel Europe for the Annual General Meeting of the Irish Medical Organisation, where we provided comprehensive IT and AV services for the three-day event.

Including sound, lighting and projection we also supported multiple break out rooms, zoom meetings, Internet kiosks and file and printer sharing facilities and video production.

The conference discussed subjects such as Budget 2023, which included an announcement regarding the expansion of free GP care to cover all six and seven-year-olds and those on or below the "median income level." However, the IMO pointed out that additional 1,100 GPs are required to meet the increased demand.

During the AGM, IMO members also discussed the new consultant contract introduced by the government, referring to it as a "missed opportunity." The concerns raised by the members included issues related to rostering, work locations, and the requirement for consultants to provide locum support.
